In the not too distant past, my first true love was the theatre and I even have a Bachelor's degree (and some outstanding student loans) to prove it. While I may not be performing these days, the same passion I had for telling stories on stage translates directly to the heart of what I do in my design work. When it comes to my approach with theatrical and performance-based clients, my goal is to deeply understand the key visual elements and themes from the shows being produced and use every tool I've got to bring those ideas to life, through reading, research, and thought-provoking conversations with my clients. I have had the honor of working with some truly remarkable theatre makers and organizations and you can see below a smattering of the results from those collaborations. I look forward to continue creating meaningful, eye-catching key artwork for the performing arts that intrigues, delights, and — most importantly — brings more people into our beloved theatre spaces.
